Eggs, Animals, and Thoughtful Homestead Goods
Welcome to The Nest side of Nest and Petal — the animal-centered half of our small Colorado homestead.
This is where we care for our chickens, gather eggs, build better animal systems, and grow toward future offerings like pasture-raised poultry and other small-batch homestead goods. We’re starting with the flock in front of us, the land beneath our feet, and a lot of attention to how animals, pasture, and people can work together well.
Like everything here, The Nest is growing slowly and intentionally — one fence line, one coop project, one egg basket, and one slightly opinionated chicken at a time.

Growing Food, Health, and Community
The Nest is rooted in a simple belief: healthier food systems can help create healthier people, healthier communities, and healthier land.
Alongside eggs and future animal-based homestead goods, we plan to offer free seasonal workshops on growing food, raising small animals, and building practical homestead skills. These gatherings will be beginner-friendly, accessible, and grounded in real experience rather than perfection.
We’re still learning and growing ourselves, but part of the purpose of The Nest is to share what we can — so more people feel confident putting food on the table, caring for animals well, and reconnecting with the land around them.

Discover the Nest
Our offerings and sales processes are still being built. If you’re interested in any of these, please reach out via the Contact Us page.

Eggs
Fresh eggs from our small flock, raised with care on our Colorado homestead. Availability varies with the seasons, the hens, and whatever opinions the flock has about laying that week.

Broiler chickens
Pasture-raised broilers are part of our future plans for The Nest. We’re building toward poultry raised thoughtfully, with attention to good animal care, healthy land, and food you can feel connected to.

Tea Blends
Small-batch tea blends inspired by the garden, the seasons, and the slower rhythms of homestead life. For now, ingredients may come from trusted outside sources while our own herb gardens get established.

Workshops
Free seasonal workshops are coming as we grow, focused on practical skills like growing food, raising small animals, and starting where you are. Our hope is to make homesteading feel more accessible, useful, and community-rooted.
